Stolen bike – Reward Offered
Update: my bike was found at a pawn shop this weekend. I’m currently working with the police department to recover the bike.
Yesterday my bike went missing downtown; if you can find it, there’s a cash reward.
The bike was taken from the racks on the east side of the UP building in downtown Omaha. Here’s a map:

Some details on it:
- Trek 1500
- Light blue/teal frame
- Shimano-style pedals
- Drop handlebars with white grip tape
- I don’t have the serial number
Hey Matt – just read about your bike. Complete bummer! I recently started an online community site that focuses on trying to recover stolen bikes. You can utilize the profile section to record/store all of your bikes, snowboards, skis, instruments, etc. serial #’s, photos & descriptions so you have all of that info in one place so you have it ready to go for police reports & ins. claims.
I might also suggest you post a KarmaAlert on the site. You can start a group of like-minded folks in your neighborhood/area and create more of a neighborhood watch. Use the KarmaAlert link to send around to bike shops, police, pawn shops, etc.
